Classic Asparagus Salad

A classic asparagus salad with white or green asparagus is prepared quickly and easily. All you have to do is peel the asparagus, cut off the ends and cut it into pieces. Cook the asparagus pieces in a brew of water, sugar, salt and butter for 3-5 minutes. Collect some cooking stock and let cool with the asparagus pieces. Make a vinaigrette of cooking stock, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper and mix with the asparagus. Ready is the classic asparagus salad. The great thing: you can spice it up with many ingredients. Try, for example, tomatoes, basil, cauliflower, potatoes, shrimp or even strawberries. Instead of the vinaigrette, a dressing of yoghurt or buttermilk also fits.

Helpful Tip

If you want to vary the original salad, simply replace the cherry tomatoes with ripe, cleaned strawberries. Tastes wonderfully fruity and really surprisingly good!
